First in the MADHOUSE tradition that includes NINJA SCROLL, BIOHUNTER, and VAMPIRE HUNTER D, this is a supernatural thriller that is fairly graphic and more than a little disturbing. In it, the inhabitants of Earth have come into contact with the Black World, a parallel universe inhabited by incredibly intelligent and mysterious beings. The two worlds have lived in peace brokered by a weak treaty for the last 500 years, which is due to be renegotiated. Two guards, one human, one from the Black World, are assigned to keep the Earth`s delegate safe from Black Worlders who would like to see the Earth taken over.
