Swing music has enjoyed several revivals since its birth in the Roaring Twenties. THIS JOINT IS JUMPIN`, a two-hour documentary, tracks the history of the jazz-based, be-boppin` music genre through the late twentieth century swing revival. Starting with the music of Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, and Duke Ellington, the film brings the viewer back to those hip days of zoot suits, seamed stockings, dance contests, and hepcats. It follows the genre`s growth through 1990`s acts like Big Bad Voodoo Daddy (who came into popularity after the film SWINGERS) and The Brian Setzer Orchestra.
