A wooden puppet becomes a boy yet once again in this animated version of the classic fairy tale. Lonely toy-maker Gepetto, who always longed for a son, sees a wooden puppet he created come to life through the intervention of a fairy godmother. But in order for Pinocchio to become a real boy, he must go out in the world and learn some valuable lessons from some rather shifty characters, including Sly the Fox and Rudy the Rat. Falling in love with a girl, and gaining guidance from Timothy the Cricket help keep the boy on the right path.
