Set in the New Cosmic Century 038, SPACE TRAVELERS finds the Earth besieged by an alien civilization known as the Orbital Ring System, who cut the Earth off from its space colonies. This unfortunate turn of events has turned out to be profitable for Hayabusha Jetter, the only pilot who has figured out how to escape the Earth`s artificial barrier, trafficking supplies with a band of space pirates and smugglers. However, when a mysterious man hires him to deliver an unmarked spherical container, it sends Hayabusha on a journey that helps to unlock mankind`s destiny.
