Based on a novel by master mystery writer Ruth Rendell, SIMISOLA is a dark and compelling British production. In it, Chief Inspector Wexford is confronted with the disappearance of the daughter of Nigerian physician Raymond Akande. What at first seems like a routine case leads to the discovery of the murder of three women, all black, and the brutal beating of another, all by the same perpetrator. Soon, Wexford is exploring the seamy underside of British society and its racism to find the person responsible for this brutality.
