Megumi has finally settled in and is becoming recognized as one of the town`s best doctors. Unfortunately, the Hishi Manji Yakuza decide to pull a scam designed to both discredit her and fool the town into believing that their fake patient has healing powers. Megumi, of course, takes steps to uncover their ruse, but they get violent when she threatens their profitable scam and Sano and Kenshin have to intervene. Also, Sano and Kenshin encounter a former samurai who is now a sensei living like a beggar, teaching poor children to read. He is being hunted by the Jinpu Tai, and Sano and Kenshin are quick to take up their swords for him. Contains episodes 13-17 of the television series.
