Though chiefly known stateside as a game for Sony`s PlayStation 2, ORPHEN is actually a series of very popular fantasy novels in Japan which were made into this anime series. The series follows Orphen, a young sorcerer trained at the Fanged Tower, an elite magic school, who has shunned his elders. In these episodes, Orphen continues his search for the dragon Azalie, leading him to the City of Canals, where he becomes trapped when a murderous doll, who definitely has something more malicious than play on its mind, begins pursuing him. Later, Orphen wrestles with his conscience when his enemy Volcan falls ill and needs Orphen to collect the herbs that will save his life.
