Throughout the 1980s, Welsh rock group The Alarm crafted impassioned, anthemic songs marked by ringing guitars and socially-conscious lyrics. After the band`s official demise in 1991, lead singer-guitarist Mike Peters carried on the torch through solo projects and various incarnations of his former band. LIVE IN THE POPPY FIELDS features The Alarm`s 2004 lineup--Peters, guitarist James Stevenson (Generation X), bassist Craig Adams (Mission UK), and drummer Steve Grantley (Stiff Little Fingers)--in a live concert at London`s La Scala in March 2004. Fan-favorites such as Unsafe Building, Rain in the Summertime, The Stand, 68 Guns, Blaze of Glory, and many others are all performed.
