Teenage orphan Sora Naegino has big dreams for her life, and travels to San Francisco in hopes of finding a way to fulfill them. When she meets the intriguing Kalos, who owns the Kaleido Stage circus, she can`t believe her luck! This awe-inspiring circus features clowns who possess unusual abilities, courageous trapeze artists, and death-defying spectacles at every turn. In this edition, Sora finds herself in all manner of predicaments, just as predicted by tarot card reading given to her by the fool. First, Sora has high hopes for a new mascot, but everything falls apart and she ends up in the hospital. Now terrified of her stunts, Sora may have ended her circus career before it really got started. Her love life isn`t any less complicated--her feelings for Yuri grow stronger, but at the same time, Ken feels more and more connected to her. Walking a tightrope in more ways than one, Sora`s life is at a turning point, and it`s up to fate to decide whether or not she`ll continue with the Kaleido Star.
