Chopin & Beethoven
Two of the most emotional and passionate composers of the Romantic period, Chopin and Beethoven, are showcased at this 1988 performance by the Lugano, Switzerland based Orchestra della Svizerra Italiana. The featured soloist is pianist Tzimon Barto, one of the few American musicians who is acclaimed in both the States and on the Continent. Barto`s assured and emotive playing is beautifully conducted by guest conductor Roderick Brydon, a native of Scotland.
