Asia was comprised of former members of some of the most popular and significant progressive rock bands of the 70s, including Yes (Steve Howe), King Crimson (John Wetton), and ELF. The resulting powerhouse swept the globe with a virtuoso, highly-developed delivery of pop riffs tinged with prog rock influences, a formula that proved very successful commercially. The band sold 15 million copies of their debut album and produced a number of 80s anthems that topped the charts, including Heat of the Moment; eventually the band went through a number of member changes that left only one original member (keyboardist Geoff Downes, previously of the Buggles), but they continued producing music for decades. This release features the only known concert footage taken when the original vocalist John Wetton was with the band; this is paired with footage of much later frontman John Payne leading the band in concert. Rare, previously unreleased material of the band`s Moscow and Asia shows, as well as a live 2002 USA performance, is also included.
